We have had a great start to Science this year and have a lot to look forward to, including Science week in March with a trip to the Big Bang exhibition for the year 8s and a number of challenges and activities for other year groups. We are again hoping to run our forest school visit to Brickyard Woods with the year 5s.

A big welcome to all our new scientists in year 5 who have been working hard to earn their Bunsen burner licence before recreating the experiments of Aristotle and Galileo.

Year 6 are currently looking at the work of scientists such as Linnaeus and Darwin in order to classify living things and explain the theory of evolution.

Our year 7s are just coming to the end of learning about reproduction in humans and plants, before moving on investigate types of energy.

Finally year 8s have been working hard all summer to prepare for their first of 3 transfer tests for Thomas Alleyne’s.
